The theatrical performance “# Support_Hara” was held at the Stavros Kougioumtzis Municipal Theater, a joint organization of the Center for Addiction Prevention & Promotion of Psychosocial Health “ELPIDA” and the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Preschool Education, Volunteering and Gender Equality of the Municipality of Kalamaria, in collaboration with EOPA a1>.
The event, which took place as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, was not just a theatrical performance, but a real-life “rehearsal.” The theater group “Mikros Vorras”, utilizing the techniques of Forum Theater, invited the audience to transform from spectators into “spect-actors” (spect-actor).
Those present had the a8> opportunity to intervene in the story of Chara –a teenager who experiences gender-based violence and online bullying (revenge porn)– and to propose, on stage, realistic ways to react and ways out. Through the interactive process, highlighted the importance of personal responsibility, of self-awareness and of collective action against phenomena of abuse.
As the ELPIDA Prevention Center, we firmly believe that combating violence and stereotypes requires the active involvement of all of us. The message sent from the stage was clear: if we do not speak up and react, the end of the story will remain the same. .
Continuation of actions in the School Community The initiative does not stop here. The ELPIDA Prevention Center continues its interventions with the aim of raising awareness among the younger generation. Already carried out corresponding action for the students of the a12> 1st EPAL Kalamaria (December 10), while there is a new performance scheduled for the 4th High School of Kalamaria on February 4, 2026.
