The Center for Prevention of Addictions and a6> Promotion of Psychosocial Health “ELPIDA”, in collaboration with the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Social Solidarity and Equality of the Municipality of Thermaikos, successfully conducted with experiential training for the its employees and the employees of the Municipality.
The event, entitled “Gender stereotypes and prejudices: Their role in the workplace,” took place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, as part of the events organized by the Municipality of Thermaikos for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The aim of the intervention was to raise awareness among the municipality’s human resources about gender stereotypes that are reproduced in the social and work environment. Through experiential processes, participants had the opportunity to:
To recognize the prejudices that often go unnoticed in everyday life .
Understand how these shape behaviors that can lead to discrimination, marginalization, or sexism in the workplace.
To explore their personal role and responsibility in creating an inclusive and safe working environment.
The ELPIDA Prevention Center continues to invest in ongoing training and the promotion of psychosocial health, highlighting the importance of self-awareness and personal responsibility as key tools for change.
