Stress often comes up in people’s stories as an integral part of their lives. It “speaks” through thoughts, through emotions and physical reactions. The body often takes on the role of “messenger”, sending messages about mental experiences that we find difficult to face. What triggers anxiety? How does it relate to one’s personal history? How can we meet with it in a curious mood to explore our own particular relationship with it? We invite you to a group whose main purpose is to engage the body and art in the process of managing anxiety. Through Dance and Drama Therapy[1] we will engage in a conversation with anxiety using the body, imagination and creativity as a vehicle.
