On Friday 10 January 2025 at 10:00, a meeting of Presidents of Prevention Centres of Central Macedonia was held at the renovated premises of the Prevention Centre “ELPIDA” in Kalamaria, following an invitation by Mrs. Betty Semakula-Yapoutzi, President and Director of the Centre. The meeting, which was considered extremely important, was also attended by the Scientific Managers of the Centres. Critical issues concerning the Prevention Centers in Central Macedonia and throughout the country were discussed, while the importance of the work they perform and the anxieties of the scientific staff were emphasized. It was unanimously decided to develop a common strategy for a more effective response to the challenges facing prevention. A common conviction of all is the need to maintain and strengthen the Prevention Centres, in order to provide more effective intervention and support to citizens. In order to achieve this objective, it is necessary to strengthen the scientific staff. The universal acceptance of the work of the Prevention Centres by the beneficiaries will make a decisive contribution to the success of the effort. Prevention must be strengthened and the centres must be adequately staffed. The meeting was attended by:
