The lack of information and systematic education of the student – youth population of Greece on issues of sexuality, sexual health and safe sexual behaviour has been repeatedly highlighted for many years by various scientific and social bodies. It is also reflected in a number of research findings, which show that a significant part of the student and youth population does not know why and how to protect themselves during sexual activity.
Driven by the above findings, we have designed in cooperation with the “Center for Life” and we are implementing a sex education program entitled: “Sexuality in adolescence: risks and protective factors”. It consists of 7 workshops and is approved by the Ministry of Education, with the objectives of raising awareness of the school community on sexuality issues and promoting safe sexual behaviour among adolescents. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of sexuality issues in the school community and to promote safe sexual behaviour. Today, 25 October 2022, 14:00 – 16:00, the first meeting of teachers of 4 sections of 6th grade (2 sections from the 3rd Primary School of Perea and 2 sections from the Primary School of Agia Paraskevi) will take place online.
