Yesterday, Monday, January 26, 2026, the two-day experiential training seminar organized by the “ELPIDA” Prevention Center, with the participation of teachers from the 1st and 2nd Gymnasium of Michaniona.
The activity, which was carried out in the school premises, had as its central focus the strengthening of the role of the teacher as a mentor. a14> role of the educator as a pillar of security and a21> stability within the school classroom.
The main themes of the program were:
The “Iceberg Theory”: Recognizing the hidden needs behind students’ “difficult” behavior (bullying, indifference, resignation).
Counter-transfer in the classroom: Managing the teacher’s personal emotions (anger, frustration) so as not to fuel the cycle of tension.
Practical Protocols Management: Steps for dealing with crisis situations and conflict management and the management of conflicts with parents and students.
Silent Violence: Recognizing forms of bullying that do not involve physical violence but affect children’s mental health.
The distinctive feature of this initiative was the collaboration between teachers from both schools in Michaniona, who worked as a single team. This joint effort highlights the need for collective action and a unified stance by the educational community against violence.
The ELPIDA Prevention Center would like to express its sincere gratitude to the administrations and teachers of both schools for their trust, warm hospitality, and meaningful participation.
