The Center for Prevention Elpida invites you to an experiential Parents’ Group on the topic of Addictions. a18> Addictions.
In a world where the social landscape is becoming increasingly fluid and uncertain, addictive behaviors seem to be gaining ground, as an “alternative” way of relating to ourselves and others. All kinds of addictive substances and behaviors tend to be normalized and viewed as part of everyday life—especially during adolescence and early adulthood. The role of the parent becomes more complex, more demanding, and more crucial than ever.
Within a safe and supportive environment, we will strive to:
- understand the mechanisms of addiction
- understand how we participate in them
- investigate risk factors
- strengthen protective and preventive measures
The team will be coordinated by Anastasis Mavromichalis, Psychologist at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, MSc in Social & Clinical Psychology of Addictions from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Gestalt Psychotherapist & Supervisor (HAGT & EAGT).
