On the occasion of the World Day against Drugs, 26 June, the employees of the “ELPIDA” Prevention Centre feel the need to share our concern about developments at the social level (expansion of the range of addictive substances and behaviours, increase in violence and aggression and other psychosocial problems).
At the same time, as experts in the field of Prevention for almost three decades, we want to be present with our actions in the community – counteracting any form of inaction and negligence!
Creation, then, and poetry from all of us…
“How much work together and how alone we are again…
We ‘ ve been trying it together for so long as an antidote to what’ s difficult…
or easy presents itself before us, whether we expect it or it appears unexpectedly
asking questions, raising dilemmas…and anticipating – perhaps;- a position
A place in the sun – in the heart- to stop our minds from wandering
Where we belong, where we desire, where we dream
where our soul takes us on a journey
where dreamers stay alive
We chase the dream like a child ‘s balloon lost in the air
But he always knows that if he wants to, he can come back
To return to where the heart accepts what it is, as it is…
and every fermentation becomes knowledge and knowledge becomes power
a power capable of painting the most beautiful paintings
Those whom the sea and the rain extinguished but our breaths held”
