The Development Partnership SHEDIA was established in April 2012 by:

- PREVENTION AND INFORMATION CENTRE FOR ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCES IN THE WESTERN SECTOR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THESSALONIKI ‘ALPHA NETWORK’
- CENTRE FOR THE PREVENTION OF ADDICTIONS AND PROMOTION OF PSYCHOSOCIAL HEALTH “HOPE”
- CENTRE FOR THE PREVENTION OF DRUG DEPENDENCE AND HEALTH PROMOTION “COMPASS”
- CENTRES FOR THE PREVENTION OF ADDICTIONS AND PROMOTION OF PSYCHOSOCIAL HEALTH ‘SIRIOS’

- PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL OF THESSALONIK (with two structures: the IANOS Psychiatric Treatment Program and the ARGO Psychiatric Treatment Program)
It aims to create the conditions for full employment, quality and productivity of work for former drug users, as well as the cohesion of the local labour market by activating and mobilising the local actors of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki. It is addressed to unemployed men and women, former drug users or persons in the process of social reintegration, residents of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki. It implements actions for :
- Information and awareness-raising for beneficiaries, the public and potential employers.
- Information – Counselling Support.
- Training (Subsidized) with 9 programs of 110 hours.
- Networking.
- Creation of a documentary entitled “A CHANCE”.
The participation of ELPIDA in the partnership concerns :
- Information and mobilisation of local bodies and the wider population : Creation of 2 info desks in points of the municipalities of the intervention area that are characterised by accessibility and visitability of people threatened or affected by social and labour exclusion.
- Information and mobilization meetings of local stakeholders : Information meetings with 50 local stakeholders and businesses in the intervention area in order to inform and mobilize local stakeholders on the development of social solidarity and the removal of social exclusion in the local community as well as the development of networking with other social inclusion actions of local authorities and the development of new alliances.
- Networking of institutions: therapeutic – target group – local producers and entrepreneurs of Thessaloniki. The aim is to develop a network of communication and cooperation between the institutions, the Prevention Centres and the SA to undertake initiatives to support the employment of people from the target group and to strengthen the local society and economy. It will aim at establishing local cooperation agreements for the promotion of employment of the target group.
For this purpose, 2 workshops (25 people each) will be held in the area of intervention:- 1st workshop : for entrepreneurs – potential employers in the intervention area of each Centre and
- 2nd workshop: it will concern the municipalities (social services, employment services, elected officials), municipal enterprises and other bodies (associations, voluntary organisations, other services e.g. OAED) operating in these areas.
