A new teacher support group is being launched at the Prevention Center, with the overall aim of empowering teachers in their role.
The specific topics addressed by the group will be determined by the needs of its members and will be based on the following general guidelines:
-supporting teachers in managing difficulties that arise in the school environment
-searching for and activating their reserves
-establishing, where possible, a relationship of authentic communication between the three systems (teachers-students-parents).
The group will include 6-8 meetings, lasting 2 hours, with a frequency of once a month.
The start date is Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Twenty-three teachers have expressed interest, coming from middle schools and high schools in the municipalities of Kalamaria, Thermi, Thermaikos, and Pylaia-Chortiatis.
The team will be coordinated by psychologists Ms. G. Giourka and Ms. M. Drakopoulou from the Elpida Center.
