As the new school year begins, and with the hope that it will be a creative and inspiring year for all of us, we are offering secondary school teachers a professional development program titled “The Myth of the Ideal Teacher.”
Specifically, we are inviting teachers to two meetings, the primary purpose of which is to strengthen their role by exploring the following questions:
– What are the expectations regarding the role of the modern educator, both on an individual and a societal level?
– What are the characteristics of the “ideal” teacher, and how do they influence the dynamics of relationships within the school system?
-What can he do to stay connected to the desire related to his professional identity?
The training session will take place on October 13 and 20, on Tuesdays, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Prevention Center (10 Hesiodou Street, Mikra metro station).
Attendance at both days of the training is a prerequisite for participation.
Teachers can register to participate by Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the link below:
The coordinators of the initiative are Ms. Georgia Giourka and Ms. Marianna Drakopoulou, psychologists at the “Elpida” Community Center.”
